The 101st Airborne Division Realism Unit is a military realism unit structured closely to the 101st Airborne Divsion of the United States Army, the world's one and only division level Air Assault unit. We function much like a military unit and have a lot of fun while doing so.
Our realism unit has a long, storied and interesting past. We have stuck together through tough times and come out on top again and again. In these few pages, we hope to enlighten you on our basic goals, philosophies and structure.
Our primary goal as a realism unit is to simply have fun. We all come together to enjoy gaming in a way like no other. Many of us enjoy the feelings of comraderie that come with a military organization and we try to provide a home for friends to gather and have a good time.
Additionally, we hope to provide a place for people to learn. Many of our members who are young are planning on or hoping to join the military and by providing a realistic atmosphere for not only fun, but also for education and learning about the Army, military life and some of the basic skills of professional soldiering.
At the 101st Airborne Division Realism Unit, we aim to keep things as professional and respectful as possible in the reflection of the values on which our military is founded upon. We know when to enjoy ourselves and have fun, but also when to get down to business and get the job done.
We expect our members to treat others within the unit with dignity, respect and above all, professionalism. We are here for fun, but a great deal of the fun comes from being a part of a well-oiled military machine which functions as a level with no peers within the realism community. Many of our members are either current or prior service and this unit is a place to experience those unparalled feelings of teamwork and comraderie that can only be found in a military setting, and therefore we ask that all of our members respect this concept and act accordingly.
Please feel free to browse around the site, ask questions, and find out more about this outstanding organization that many of us call home.
