Military Occupational Speciality (MOS)

The infantry is the main land combat force and backbone of the Army. It's equally important in peacetime and in combat. The Infantryman's role is to be ready to defend our country in peacetime and to capture, destroy and repel enemy ground forces during combat.

 

Duties include performing as a member of a fire team during a movement to contact, reconnaissance, and security, infantry assaults, as well as situation training exercises and all infantry dismounted battle drills. (Primary MOS | Private 2 - Sergeant First Class)

 

 

The Health Care Specialist, or Combat Medic is primarily responsible for providing emergency medical treatment, limited primary care and health protection and evacuation from a point of injury.

 

Duties include administering emergency medical treatment to battlefield casualties and coordinate and assist with medical evacuations via air or ground. (Primary MOS | Private First Class - Staff Sergeant)

Military Police Soldiers are responsible for providing support to the 101st Airborne Division by conducting Area Security, Maneuver and Mobility Support, Law & Order, and Police Intelligence Operations.

 

Duties include UCMJ enforcement, performing Background Checks on Enlistees and any other assignment seen fit by the Company XO. (Primary MOS | Private First Class - Sergeant)

 

 

Recruiters are responsible for ensuring the 101st Airborne Division maintains a steady flow of new paratroopers and provides recruits with all the information and guidance needed to successfully gain entrance into the 101st Airborne Division.

 

Duties include recruiting, conducting interviews, counseling and qualifying applicants for enlistment; Distributing and displaying recruiting publicity material within the realism community. (Secondary MOS | Specialist - Staff Sergeant)

 

 

Human Resources Specialists primarily help Soldiers develop their virtual careers in the 101st Airborne Division, but also provides personnel support and assistance to all aspects of the unit.

 

Duties include personnel management (Battle Roster & Personnel Files), promotion and award management, oversight of Requests for Personnel Action and counseling statements. (Secondary MOS | Private First Class - Sergeant)
