To begin your path as an 101st Airborne Division Soldier, you must contact a recruiter and/or fill out an enlistment from which will begin the entry process. By submitting your Enlistment, you thereby acknowledge your acceptance and agreement with our terms and conditions and request entry within the 101st Airborne Division Realism Unit.
Once your background check has been completed by our in-processing staff section, you will be contacted with further instructions as to continue the entry process. You will be assigned a Ventrilo account and granted access to the 101st Airborne Division Recruiting Office Xfire Group, in which you will find contacts who you may approach with any questions you may have about the unit.
Thereafter, you will undergo a brief interview with one of our Recruiters. If all these aforementioned steps are completed, you will then be assigned a class date for Initial Entry Training/Advanced Infantry Training.
Your first step as a future Soldier will be to enter in an IET class, during which you will be taught the basic skills that you will need to be an effective Soldier within the realism community. You will then undergo Advanced Individual Training in your chosen MOS, which will qualify you and prepare you for whichever PMOS you desire.
As we represent an Air Assault Infantry unit, your next step will be to attend the Basic Air Assault Course, during which will familiarize you with the techniques needed to be an effective trooper in the 101st. Different games will have varying levels of depth in this course. (i.e. Call of Duty BAAC will be a primarily oral class since the game does not have heliborne capabilities, while Armed Assault BAAC will encompass the full spectrum of Air Assault operations.
Finally, once you have been fully indoctrinated and prepared for your future in the 101st Airborne Division, you will be promoted to Private Second Class (Honor Graduates will be promoted to Private First Class) and assigned a unit to which you will report in and begin your virtual career in the 101st Airborne Division Realism Unit!
