Many of our members in the 101st Airborne are either current or formerly service members of our nation's military. Because of that, in addition to our respect for the brave men and women who serve this nation, we grant many benefits and accomodations for those who are or were members of the Armed Forces.
If you have served in the military and are were honorably discharged, medically or honorably retired, you are eligible for benefits within the 101st Airborne Division. The benefits and accomodations will be guaged on a case-by-case basis, but are usually entry-level promotions and/or granting of all badges, awards and commendations earned while serving in the military.
To be eligible, you must submit a copy of your DD-214 (SSN should be covered) to one of the members of our command staff, who will verify your service briefly to ensure no false claims are made.
Likewise, those who are either Active Duty or currently Reservists or National Guardsmen will be eligible for certain accomodations and benefits. Included again are the opportunities for logical entry-level promotions according to current rank and grade, and granting of all badges, awards and commendations authorized for that particular applicant. In addition, those who are currently serving in the military will recieve accomodations for relaxed attendance standards that will allow them to participate in and attend 101st functions easily with no interference with their real military occupation.
To be eligible, you must provide your AKO address (Current Army applicants) which will then be verified by one of our currently-serving military personnel within the 101st Airborne Division Command Staff. Other branches of service will be verified on a case-by-case basis.
